About Us & Our Mission
Wounded Warriors United of Wisconsin (WWU of WI)
Wounded Warriors United of Wisconsin (WWU of WI) has been serving Wisconsin Veterans since 2014. On January 1, 2021 it became an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit and no longer needed to operate with the permission of the original founder in Kansas.
Wounded Warriors United of Wisconsin is run by Otto Reetz in loving memory of Vickie Reetz.
WWU of WI empowers and inspires Wisconsin Veterans to get back into the outdoors by providing cross country hunting and fishing trips with no charge to the veteran.
Country Haven Farm in Gleason WI offers a delux 35 ft 5th wheel for veterans and their families to stay when they need a place to get away from life’s daily struggles. Scottish Highland Cows, Miniature Donkeys and Pygmy goats make the farm enjoyable for all.

Wounded Warriors United of Wisconsin is proud to announce Country Haven Farm. This farm is a private retreat for any veteran or veteran and family to have a quiet place to stay to relax and enjoy Wisconsin’s North Woods.

Warriors on the Water
An exciting day awaits you! Veterans are provided with a morning of fishing the Lake Winnebago System with a host boat captain or guide. The afternoon is full of fun with lunch provided by Mile High Pub of Oshkosh. The Public is also invited to participate.

I would take this opportunity to give HUGE THANKS to both Wounded Warriors United of Wisconsin and Whispering Winds Resort on lake Vermilion for an amazing trip. This is way above and beyond all the rest of the vet trips that I have ever been on (more than I can count on 2 hands). The guides are top notch and most of them vets. Either way there is NO way I could have got my personal best Muskie one day and beat it the next. Most people don’t do that in a life time. Not to mention a guy who is 100% medically disabled but you made it happen. This trip is truly a bucket list check off. The food was amazing, the accommodations were great. Best of all, I came home with a hat with barbed cut hooks. Kyle is still probably looking for hooks in his hand from my fish. Kyle is one of a kind, Jeremy is Mr. Muskie. Sorry Kyle, he beat you by 2” (LOL). I can’t say enough how much relaxation and relief from the daily grind this trip is for not only me but any Vet that has the opportunity to come and experience this trip of a life time. That’s again to Kyle, Jeremy and all involved. God love you!
